Project Exhibition and Poster Presentation-INSPIRE -2017 on 1st September 2017.

 

 


CSI Student Chapter of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon has organized an Industrial visit to “Centre for e-Governance, Delhi” on 12th September 2017 especially for the first semester students of CSIT branch of the college. Dr. Sangeeta Singla (Associate Professor, Applied Science & Humanities) along with 50 students visited the CeGov with the motive to demonstrate various e-Governance initiatives in the country and hands-on experience on the web-enabled e-services being delivered in various parts of the country. The Centre for e-Governance provides a unique platform for wider dissemination of awareness regarding successful e-Governance initiatives in the country as well as the roadmap for implementation of e-Governance.

 

 


 

CSI Young IT Professional Awards 2017

On 24th September 2017, Ashutosh Kumar (20877) student of M.tech, Information Technology department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon participated in CSI Young IT Professional Awards 2017 held at Christian Degree College, Lucknow. We are delighted that our nominated student won 1st price along with cash price of 5000 Rs. and a trophy at regional round of YITP Award. Mr. Deepak Sharma, Chairman, CSI Lucknow Chapter was the regional convener for the event and addressed the participants at the inaugural session. The award has been organized in two steps Regional Round and then National Round.

 

 

 


 

Write Up of Guest Lecture on “Information Security”

Computer Society of India (CSI) Student Chapter of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized a Guest Lecture on “Information Security” on 12th October 2017. Mr.I.L.Narasimha Rao (Project Manager) from C-DAC Hyderabad was the Keynote Speaker for the workshop. He was the Chairman at Computer Society of India, Hyderabad Chapter , All India Professional Body of computer users and Principal (Incharge) of Aurora’s Scientific and Technological Institute – Engineering college ,Ghatkesar, Hyderabad. The workshop was very knowledgeable as it highlighted different treats online and how to safe guard from them. The topics covered during the were online treats, secure use of debit/credit cards, phishing attacks and safety, mobile security, wifi security, browser security etc.

 


Write Up of One day workshop on “CISCO Networking”

Computer Society of India (CSI) Student Chapter of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon and Network Bulls Gurgaon jointly organized a workshop on “CISCO Networking” on 13th October 2017. Mr. Siddharth Tiwari (Training Specialist) from Network Bulls Gurgaon was the trainer for the workshop. The workshop was very informative as the students learned basics of networking, Ipv4, IPv6 and command line modes. During the closing ceremony of the workshop, the certificates of participation were distributed to all the participants.

 


One Day Session on “Group Discussion & Personal Interview”

 

CSI Student Chapter of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon in collaboration with IBS Business School, Gurgaon organized a One Day Session on “Group Discussion & Personal Interview” for the Final Year students of Information Technology, Computer Science and Information Technology & Electronics and Computer Science Department on 12th October 2017. The session was conducted by Mr. Rajesh Sharma, Faculty Member and a trainer for Soft Skills at IBS Business School, Gurgaon.  He is having 9+ years of experience in Education industry. The main aim of the event was to prepare students for the world of work and provide advice and guidance on developing their Group Discussion & interviewing skills. The session enabled candidates to have a fair idea about the sort of things they are going to experience at actual interviews, and prepare them how accurately they can deal with it.

 


Visit to Centre for e-Governance, Delhi

 

CSI Student Chapter of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon had organized an Industrial visit to “Centre for e-Governance, Delhi” on 16th October 2017 especially for the first semester students of IT and ECS branch of the college. Mrs. Pooja Jain (Assistant Professor, Applied Science & Humanities) along with 51 students visited the CeGov with the motive to demonstrate various e-Governance initiatives in the country to the common people, especially to the student community and hands-on experience on the web-enabled e-services being delivered in various parts of the country. The Centre for e-Governance provides a unique platform for wider dissemination of awareness regarding successful e-Governance initiatives in the country as well as the roadmap for implementation of e-Governance.

 


 “ACME-17”

CSI Student Chapter of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized “ACME-17” – One Day Summit by IT Professionals for the Final Year students on 12th August 2017 driven by the IT Experts and Alumni of Dronacharya. The main aim of this event was to prepare students for the world of work and provide advice and guidance on developing their CVs and interviewing skills. The session enabled candidates to have a fair idea about the sort of things they are going to experience at actual interviews, and prepare them how accurately they can deal with it. CSI Best Regional Student Branch Award Ceremony on 6th May ’17

 

CSI Student Chapter of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized an Award Ceremony on 6th May 2017 at college campus for being recognized as Best Regional CSI Student Branch in Region-1 of CSI for the contribution to CSI activities for the year 2015-16. The ceremony started with the inaugural address by Honourable Principal, Prof. (Dr.) B.M.K Prasad followed by the motivational speech by the Guest of Honor, Mr. Saurabh Agrawal (Regional Student Coordinator, Region-I, CSI). It was more of an interactive session wherein Mr. Agrawal took doubts of the students regarding benefits of joining CSI, how to prepare oneself for placement and various career opportunities.


 

Workshop on CISCO Networking on 30thSeptember 2016

On 30th September 2016, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon & Computer Society of India (CSI) jointly organized a Workshop on “CISCO Networking”. The speaker for the lecture was Mr Baljot Singh (Training Specialist) from Network Bulls Gurgaon. Network Bulls is premier Institute for Networking. The main objective of workshop was to aware students about PuTTy software. 57 students from CSE, IT, ECS & ECE Department have benefited from this workshop.

 


Industrial Visit to NETWORK BULLS by DCE CSI Student Chapter on 21st September 2016

On 21 September 2016, Mrs. Kshitija Pol (Associate Professor, CSE Dept.) along with 47 students from CSE, IT, CSIT, ECS & ECE Departments of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon visited the NETWORK BULLS, Gurgaon. The visit was organized with the aim of providing the students a brief understanding of Networking Fundamentals & Equipment.

               

 

Guest Lecture on “Adopting New Technologies” on 6th September 2016

To discuss the demand of new technology in market and keep pace with it, CSI Student Branch DCE, Gurgaon in collaboration with NIIT organized a guest lecture on 6th September 2016 at Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon. 120 students of Seventh and Fifth Semester students of Department of Computer Science & Engineering attended the guest lecture.

 


Guest Lecture on INTERVIEW SKILLS on 26th August 2016

On 26th August 2016, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon & Computer Society of India (CSI) jointly organized a Guest Lecture on “Interview Skills”. The speaker for the lecture was Major (Retd.) Shreshtsh Shekhar (Co-Founder and Training Director) from Transformeon, Gurgaon. The lecture was very knowledgeable and the students understood how to deal with nervousness, closing the interview, be in time for interview, preparation for phone & mock interview.  51 students from Computer Science & Engineering Department actively polished their skills through this guest lecture.


Technical Talk on Cyber Security And Role of CSI on 25th August 2015

To discuss about various Cyber Security issues, Computer Society of India (CSI), Delhi chapter organized a Technical Lecture and on Cyber Security-A tool against hacking on Thursday, 25th August 2016 at Ambedkar Institute of Technology, New Delhi. Three Students, Saurabh Kumar (17129), Lokesh Pandey (17074), Nishant(17096) from Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended the technical talk.

 


Workshop on Embedded C Programming on 28th April 2016

Computer Society of India Student Chapter of Dronachaya College of Engineering , Gurgaon organized  Workshop on Embedded C Programming” on 28th April 2016 for 69 students from CSE, CSIT, ECS, ECE.The trainer for the workshop was Mr.Sumit Pathak from i3indya Technologies. He guided the students on how to write program for Embedded C program.

 


Guest lecture on GD / PI Skills by Prof. Nidhi Tak on 1st March 2016

Computer Society of India Student Chpater of  Dronacharya College Of Engineering, Gurgaon organised a guest lecture on the topic “How To Crack Group Discussion and Personal Interviews” by Prof. Nidhi Tak, from IBS, Gurgaon on 1st March, 2016 . Prof. Tak guided the students on how to handle Group Discussions and Personal Interviews successfully.


Best Accredited Student’s Branch Award for the year 2014-2015 on 5th Dec 2015

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon received “Best Accredited Students’ Branch Award” for the year 2014-2015, by Prof. Bipin V. Mehta, President, CSI. Also, Mr. Vijender Singh Hooda received the Longest Serving SBC Award by the Members of CSI on 5th Dec 2015.

15th National Seminar on “CYBER SECURITY: Issues and Challenges

Computer Society of India (CSI), Delhi Chapter, in collaboration with Management Education & Research Institute (MERI), New Delhi jointly organized a National Seminar on “Cyber Security – Issues and Challenges” on 10th October 2015 at Institutional Area, Janak Puri, New Delhi. Two Students namely, Ankit Sharma (16021)and Akashdeep Singh (16010) from Department of Computer Science & Engineering of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended the lecture.

 


CSI National Conference on Internet Governance & Internet Security

CSI Gurgaon Chapter & NIXI organized a two days National Conference on Internet Governance and Internet Security (IGIS 2015) at KIIT College of Engineering, Gurgaon on 30th & 31st March 2015. Five students namely, Ronit Yadav(15083), Ravinder Yadav (14077), Rajat Wason(15080), Sahib Arora(15088) and Sahil Jindal(15089) from Dronacharya College of Engineering  attended the workshop. The main objectives of the conference was to create awareness on Digital Security and digital governance from the view point of development and identifications of policy and technical matters for a sustainable global Internet ecosystem in digital economy and to explore the scope of Internet governance and Internet security in the emerging technological era.The Conference proved was very fruitful and knowledgeable.


CSI Symposium on Exploring the Potential of Cloud Services

CSI Delhi Chapter in association with CISCO, CONVRGD, IEEE DELHI SECTION, IETE DELHI CENTRE and ISTE DELHI SECTION organised a Symposium on “Exploring the Potential of Cloud Services” on 6th August 2015 at India International Centre, New Delhi. Five Students namely, Monika yadav (16954), Anurag Vats (16029), Brijesh Aggarwal (16044), Birender Singh Rawat (16043) and Priya yadav (16955) from Dronacharya College of Engineering  attended the symposium.

 


INDUSTRIAL VISIT TOINSTITUTE OF TELECOM TECHNOLOGY & MANAGEMENT MTNL, NEW DELHI

On 1st April 2015,CSI Student Branch of Dronacharya College of Engineering Gurgaon organize a industrial visit .Mrs. Akanksha Kulshreshtha (Assistant Professor) along with a group of 40 students from Electronics & Computer Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon visited ITTM (Institute of Telecom Technology & Management) -A unit of MTNL Delhi ,Shadipur, New Delhi.

The objective of this visit was to show the practical implementation of routers and switches needed for setting up a large area network. This is related to the concepts of optical fiber communication, 2G, 3G communication, Broadband and routing etc.


 

Golden Jubilee Celebrations of CSI DRONTECH 2015

As a part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of COMPUTER SOCIETY OF INDIA (CSI), the CSI Student Branch of Dronacharya College of Engineering in Association With Computer Society of India (CSI) organized  two days technical event Drontech-2K15 on 26th and 27th March 2015. The objective of this technical event was to provide an interdisciplinary forum of confluence for a variety of technical potentials.

 


CSI Student Branch organized a Poster Presentation

A Poster Presentation was organized by the CSI Student Branch Dronacharya College of Engineering for the students of Second year on 27th Feb, 15. It was coordinated by Mr. Tanupriya Choudhury and Mr. Niraj Kumar. Poster presentation helps in presenting research-in-progress to audience in a visual format. Students gain a unique opportunity to combine visual and oral explanations of their projects.

 


 

CSI Seminar: Computational Intelligence Using Swarm Behaviour In Real World Matrix

To celebrate Golden Jubilee, CSI Gurgaon chapter organized one day Seminar on Computational Intelligence Using Swarm Behavior in Real World Matrix at KIIT College of Engineering, Gurgaon on 14th March 2015. Five students namely, Mridul (16095), Sheetal Rana (16146), Diksha Mangla (16051), Ravinder Sansanwal (16129), Diksha Taneja (16052) and Anu Jindal (16027) from Dronacharya College of Engineering  attended the seminar.

 


 

One Day Seminar on How to make Engineers industry ready

A one day seminar was organized  by CSI student Branch Dronacharya college of engineering Gurgaon  on “How to make Engineers industry ready” at Dronacharya College of Engineering on 21th February 2015 with the  objective to facilitate transformation of  Indian youth into players of global repute by bridging the gap between education and employment. C3 team shared their experience with students, providing them real-time practice and in turn polishing their skills and explained comprehensive programs for students to build skill set necessary to excel in their professional lives and emerge as being the top choices for prospective employers.


Industrial Visit to National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC)

Industrial visit to NSIC (National Small Industries corporation) was organized by CSI Student Branch Dronacharya of Engineering College on Wednesday, February 11, 2015.. Mr. Tanupriya Choudhury, Assistant Professor, accompanied a total of 50 students of B.Tech(CSE)(12 students from 3rd year CSE and 38 students from 2nd year CSE) to this industrial visit to NSIC-Okhla.

 


GUEST LECTURE CUM SEMINAR ON RECENT TRENDS AND TECHNOLOGIES & PLACEMENT OPPURTUNITIES

A guest lecture was arranged on 10th September 2014 by the CSI Student Branch of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon. The guest lecturers are the eminent industry as well as placement experts from Webswastech Pvt. Ltd, Faridabad. There were about 80 attendees from the college and the lecture continued for 3 hours. Basically, the lecture was organized to make the students familiar with the corporate world and to face the challenges they will be going through followed by a session how to crack a interview as well as they are interested to make a cell for in house consultancy for projects and placements and training.


CSI REGIONAL STUDENT CONVENTION- 2014

CSI REGIONAL STUDENT CONVENTION- 2014 Held at Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology, Ghaziabad From 14th -15th November 2014. Eighteen B. Tech students of 3rd and 5th semester of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon participated in CSI Regional Student Convention (Regional-1). The Convention is held in the active student Branches to promote awareness on technological advancements and applications as well as foster creative orientations among the student community.

On 19 September 2014, CSI Student branch of Dronacharya college of Engineering, Gurgaon Organized a Guest Lecture on “Wireless Sensor network”. The main Speaker was D.K. Lobiyal who is Professor at School of Computer & Systems Sciences, JNU, New Delhi.

On 20th August 2014, CSI Student Branch of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized a Guest Lecture on “ETHICAL HACKING” by Mr. Rahul Tyagi, Associate Vice President of Lucideus Technologies. The objective of the workshop was to give various ideas on the protection of network and disclose skills on ethical hacking.

A one day Seminar on “Cloud Computing” in collaborating with CSI was organized in Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon on 13th Aug 2014. Mr. Aurbind Sharma, from TED enlightened and shared ideas on latest technical prospects as required by the corporate world under modern software engineering technologies.


Golden Tech Bridge Programme

Dronacharya College of engineering, Gurgaon was privileged to organize CSI-Golden Tech Bridge on 9thAugust, 2014. The programme enhances the credibility and proves to be a unique learning experience for the disadvantaged segments of society. About 100 participants participated in this gracious initiative of CSI .


Innovations’14 – National Level Project Competition

A National level project Competition was organized by the CSI Student Chapter of SIES-GST, Mumbai on 24thFebruary 2014. Shalini Sharma (14091), Priyanka Yadav (14068)  both from CSE  Department,  Anshul Patro (14605), Vineet Kataria (14631) both from ECS Department  along with Ms. Pratibha Sharma (Faculty at Computer Science &  Engineering Department) participated in the event and presented their project on “EDUAPP”.

National Network Security Championship (NNSC-2014) – ACM-IIT Delhi

Dronacharya College of Engineering tied up with Network Bull and Association for Computer Machinery IIT-Delhi and jointly organized an initiative NNSC-2014-India’s 1st Network Security Championship. Which is a unique event consisting of Training+ Workshop Contest + National Award. Department of Information Technology had conducted National Network Security Championship 2014 On 28 & 29 October 2013.


.NET SESSIONS BY IT EXPERT

Two day .NET sessions was organised by Department of Information Technology, in association of CSI Student Chapter Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon on 15th & 17th October 2013.


 

TWO DAY WORKSHOP ON ETHICAL HACKING

CSI-Student Branch DCE, GURGAON, and Department of Information Technology, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized a two day workshop on “Ethical Hacking” in association with Mr. Sai Satish, CEO, Indian Servers on 7th & 8th October 2013. The Objective of the workshop was to discuss various concepts of Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security. The workshop was attended by more than 350 students from Dronacharya college of Engineering, Gurgaon, Faculty Members from Information Technology & Computer Science, ITM University, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Greater Noida.


 

CSI State Students Convention (Haryana)

Dronacharya college of engineering, Gurgaon was privileged to organize CSI State Students Convention (Haryana) on 26th and 27th September, 2013. About 300 Students, Corporate Executives, Researchers and Academicians participated in this convention.


CURTAIN raiser for CSI Golden Jubilee celebrations Organized by Computer Society of India On (6thSeptember 2013)

On 6th September 2013 , Computer Society of India celebrated their 50th anniversary .The venue was at Kothari Hall, DRDO Bhavan. A lot of students from different colleges along with professors, media persons came to attend this Ten  students of Computer Science Engineering Department accompanied by Mr. Vijender Singh Hooda, CSI Head DCE, attended the Curtain Raiser for the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Computer Society of India.


TECHUNT 2013 –Dreams the Spirit of Innovation On “Mobipreneur”on 22nd Aug to 23rd Aug 2013

Dronacharya College of Engineering tied up with Nurture Talent Academy (India’s 1st institute for entrepreneurs) and Computer Society of India (first and largest body of computer professionals in India) and jointly organized an initiative Techunt 2013- India’s 1st hunt for entrepreneurs. Which is a unique event consisting of Training Workshop + Conference + Tech Fair + Business Plan Contest + National Award.


CSI Regional level Student Project Contest-2013

2nd National Student Project Contest-2013 (Regional Round) of Computer Society of India was held at Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon on 2nd March 2013. It was organised by the CSI- Student Chapter of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon. A number of students from various colleges having CSI-Student Chapter across the Northern Region of India demonstrated their projects

 2nd National Student project Contest at CTAE, Udaipur

Computer Society of India, Udaipur and College of Technology and Engineering(CTAE), Udaipur jointly organized 2nd National Student project contest on 16th March 2012. The contest was an academic initiative from Computer Society of India with an aim to prepare students for a more competitive Information Technology career. The Objective was to encourage students from CSI student branches nationally to design innovative projects, improve their skill set and become market ready. The contest aims at involving young students of all over India in the quest of innovation in IT and provides them an opportunity to demonstrate their projects in a strong social relevance.
